Whether you are staying with us for one night or a fortnight we want to enjoy your time with us. We are situated close to Paignton harbour and only a short walk to the beach and Paignton town centre. The coach park and railway station are within easy walking distance should you want to leave the car and strike out to see some of the beautiful Devon attractions. You may want to enjoy the boat trips across the bay to Torquay, Brixham and Babbacombe or just relax in our large garden or lounge and just make yourself feel at home.

Facilities
Double, Twin & Family en-suite rooms. Ironing boards and irons are available. All rooms have beverage making facilities, TV with freeview and DVD player, radio alarm clocks, hair dryers. We offer a pick up service from the train or coach station, free of charge. This must be booked in advance.

Good Food
We know that enjoying good food can make your vacation more enjoyable. We offer a breakfast menu to suit all tastes. Early or late breakfast can be accommodated with prior notice to fall in with your holiday plans.
We serve a varied bar snack menu which is available all day and evenings meals are available between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. These are served from a menu of choice or daily specials.
So if you want to relax in our dining area with a dink and a bite to eat – be our guest. Weather permitting you can also sit in the garden to eat.
There are also a lot of good places to eat out and we can recommend the best places for a family meal or something special for two. We know all the best places. If you have any special dietary needs, just let us know and we can accommodate.
Large Garden
We have a large enclosed feature garden at the back with a decked area and plenty seating for you to relax with a meal or drinks. There is also a lawned area for children to play.
Special Breaks
If it’s a special break or occasion why not book a room with a view across the bay and let us put flowers, chocolates or a surprise of your choice in the room ready for your arrival.
We are open all year with full facilities so if you feel like a break at any time of the year just give us a call.
Full Access Statement:
Introduction: We are a 7 room licensed guest house run by a husband and wife team. Two bedrooms are family rooms and the bedrooms are sited on the first and second floor. We do not have ground floor bedrooms. The following information is to outline our provisions for guests.
Pre Arrival: We are sited less than half a mile from the coach and train station and we offer free pick up service from there if this is pre booked with the reservation. There is a taxi rank outside the stations should this be required. Although only half a mile from the town centre, it is the quieter area of Paignton. Our website details some of our rooms and facilities and the address is www.eastoncourt.co.uk The site is fully printable and can be Braille read if needed. Contact can be made via the website or phone should brochure be required.
Arrival & Parking: All guest are asked for their estimated time of arrival at the point of when they make the reservation. We can be summoned by use of the bell sited at the front door. There is a car park to the front of the building with room for Four cars. The roads outside the guest house are not yellow lined and parking there is not time limited. The car park has a slight incline but there is no steps. The entrance door is wheelchair friendly 85cm in width, the entrance hall and stairs have 24 hour lighting and the parking area is well lit in the hours of darkness. We are able to assist guests to the rooms with luggage if required. Refreshments are made available on arrival.
Main Entrance and Reception: The front door is the only entrance and is protected by a security lock and access can only be obtained with a key from the outside. Exit from the inside does not require a key. The reception hall leads off into the lounge, dining area and bar with no steps between rooms on this level. All door widths on this level are 82cm. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge before being shown to their rooms on request. Seating for 9 people. We require guests to fill in a registration form, this is in their designated room and passed to the proprietor when completed.
Internal Public Areas: Our ground floor consists of lounge, dining area, reception hall and bar. The first floor, (assist grab rail fitted to stairs and risers at a height of 18cm) consists of a family room with a double bed and bunk beds, Two double rooms and they are all en suite. There is a single room with private facilities adjacent to it. The private facilities for a twin room are also on this floor. The private facilities are lockable so they cannot be used by other guests. There is a public w c on this floor. The second floor consists of a family room with a double bed and a single bed, a double room with a king size double and sea views and they are en suite. The other room is a twin with private facilities on the first floor. Bath robes are provided for the rooms with private facilities. All areas (with the exception of bathrooms and wc )are fitted carpets.
Dining Room: Dining tables are set out to requirements and can be adjusted to seat Two, Four or Six people. Highchairs are available on request. The dining area leads to a large garden and dining outside can be accommodated. The dined area has a maximum capacity of sixteen people. The seating is all chairs with no arms and background music is played during service. Menus are provided and orders taken at the table. Most diets catered for.
Laundry: If required, laundry can be done by the proprietors but no liability is accepted.
Shops: The nearest shop is a licensed mini mart selling most produce within a five minute walk. The main shopping precinct in the town is approx half a mile away.
Leisure Facilities: The beach is a five minute walk and is next to the harbour which has pleasure sailing and sea fishing charters. A leisure complex with pool, gym and rifle range is less than a mile away. Further details of other facilities can be requested in brochure form and posted to guests prior to arrival. Some facilities are listed on the website.
Bedrooms: All rooms are centrally heated and quests have control of temperature via thermostatic controls on the radiators. All rooms have hair dryers, bedside lamps, led alarm clocks, colour t v, dvd and access to a library of dvds, and freeview installed. There is also free wireless internet connection. Refreshment making facilities are provided in all rooms with complimentary biscuits. Bottled water is available to guests free of charge. All beds have duvets and extra blankets and pillows are situated in the rooms should they be needed. Three rooms have fridges installed. All rooms have hanging wardrobes and bedside cabinets. All with dresser facilities.

Bedroom 6, Large double to rear of building with super king bed, en suite, panoramic sea views, Two ordinary chair and one easy chair. 19inch flat screen TV.
Bedroom 7, Family room to front of building with double bed and single bed, en suite and One chairs.
Grounds and garden: To the front of the building is the car park. The rear garden is accessed through the bar/dining area and consists of a large decked area with seating for Seven and table with parasol. The landscape area has Two swing seats, and Two table with parasols and seating areas adequate for Eight people. The garden is lit at night and guests can take meals and drinks into it. There is access to music in the garden area which we ask guests to moderate.
Additional Information:
We are fully no smoking within the building but guests may smoke in the garden.
We do not accept dogs with the exception of guide dogs.
An information pack in each room gives details of emergency services and information of the surrounding area as well as contact numbers for proprietors.
There is a medical centre on Dartmouth road less than quarter of a mile away who will see holiday makers/guests without an appointment or registration.
New fire alarm system installed in 2007.
Fridges can be provided for guests use.
A wide an varied choice of evening meals are available and chosen from a menu or the daily specials.
Bar snacks are served all day.
Head phones are available for guests should they be required.
Lounge area has large flat screen TV.
Fans can be provided on request.

No supplement for bank holidays. Sea view rooms are let on a first come first served basis. Please ask for availability when making a reservation. A 20% deposit per person is required to secure bookings, this is none returnable unless the room can be re-let.
Room availability
Rooms are available from 2.00 p.m. on the day of arrival but should you arrive early we will gladly hold your luggage until the room is ready. We ask all our guests to vacate rooms by 10 a.m. on the day of departure but you are quite welcome to use our facilities until you start your journey home.
We take all major credit cards except American Express.

Directions - How to find us
From the end of the M5 follow signs for A380 Torquay, go across main roundabout at Newton Abbott and through the village of Kingskerswell. At the next roundabout turn right still on A380. At second roundabout turn left and follow road down to traffic lights. Go through the lights into the lane signposted for Sea Front until arriving at a mini roundabout where you turn right onto Sands Road.
